On March 7th to 10th, Satyagyan Foundation welcomes you to our magical city for the 3 nights Benares Festival for Satyagyan at Varanasi, known by locals as Benares, is the spiritual capital of India located on the banks of the Ganges River. Benares is a bustling, colourful city brimming with the mysterious melodies of classical North-Indian music, the bells and mantras of the pandits, the bright sunshine that illuminates the bustling allies, and the constant moos of friendly cows. It is the pilgrimage site for millions of Hindus and Muslims with its riverside ghats for bathing and thousands of temples and mosques for prayer.

The Benares Festival is a chance to not only soak up the essence of the city, but understand the social issues that lie within Uttar Pradesh and India as a whole. Hosted by Hotel Ganges View, a centre of art, music and dialogue, this festival integrates the incredible vivacity of Benares with Satyagyan's goals of literacy and empowerment for all.
